The artistic practice of Mar Ripoll (Mallorca, Spain, 1977) uses painting as her main means of expression. Through this discipline, the artist explores from a very intuitive pictorial technique -acrylic on resin- a series of themes that in her body of work, run amok.
The use of resin between layers allows her a three-dimensional perspective, where the interior and the exterior are united in a single dimension to explore the very construction of the experience of human existence. Within an abstract visual language, his body of work is positioned on the current affective conditions of the world.
Her practice focuses within Neo Abstract Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism, and Surrealism.

In 2019, he won the Son Carrió Painting Contest, with José Manuel Broto as a member of the jury, national plastic prize in 1995.
He studied photography at the School of Art and Superior Design of the Balearic Islands and trained in painting and drawing in different workshops Can Balaguer, Escuela Massana in Barcelona, Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation, Ses Voltes and Casal Solleric, as well as in Es Baluard, Museum of Contemporary Art of Palma.
Last year she completed a 3-month international artist residency and two exhibitions I Leipzig, Germany.

Actually, she is living in Berlin doing another art residence there.
